WWE Superstar Jim Ross

As the play-by-play man on Monday Night Raw for nearly a decade, Jim Ross certainly has the resume to earn himself serious consideration as one of the greatest sports-entertainment commentators in the history of the business.

Coining the phrase “business is about to pick up” and sporting his trademark 200X Black Resistol cowboy hat, good Ol’ J.R. has been a WWE staple delivering the goods in the WWE broadcast booth dating back to 1993.

With his colorful southern twang, J.R. calls the action on television to millions of fans worldwide each week as well as on pay-per-views. To put it bluntly, Ross is a WWE institution. A walking wrestling encyclopedia, J.R. takes great pride in knowing all the stats and inside info on WWE Superstars giving fans a wealth of knowledge and passion when calling some of today’s most electrifying encounters. However, J.R. isn’t someone who is afraid of getting knee deep in the action he’s calling. From time to time, J.R. has even gone as far as to knuckle up and throw down in the center of the ring with some of the Raw Superstars.
